One summer as I was packing up my truck with my wife’s, my kids, my dog’s, and my gear for a quick afternoon trip to the river, I decided that to save time on the water I would pre rig all the rods with flies at home…

When I got to the river, conditions of course had changed and I was left either fishing what I already had on, or switching all 5 rods. I am sure can understand when I decided to just fish what we had on. How was the fishing you might ask? Turns out small dries in high fast dirty water wasn’t ideal for catching trout.
